Product Description The SP Medical Adjustable CPAP Chin StrapThis easy-to-use chin strap is the top choice because it is easy to use, has a secure fit and it's COMFORTABLE! No guessing on sizes because it is adjustable. Brand new, SP Medical Adjustable Chin Strap (velcro adjustments). There are adjustable straps at both the crown of the head and at the base of the neck. This chin strap is great for mouth breathers. The Adjustable chin strap is intended for use by adults to help prevent some of the nasal and oral drying that can occur during Continuous Positive Airway Pressure and bi-level therapy. The Adjustable chin strap helps to prevent air flow leaking from your mouth by holding your chin in a stable position which encourages breathing through your nose. Due to hygiene purposes this item is non-returnable.

Didn't work. March 4, 2010 I thought that the chin strap had possibly helped my snoring, but my husband told me that the only thing it did was change the sound and pitch of the noise. He asked me to please not use it anymore because the noise was worse than before.
Worth a try..so I tried it. February 25, 2010 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This item arrived in only two days after ordering. Subsequent to a few additional fine tuning adjustments in the dark, I started off on a new chapter in my quest for a long uneventful and restful sleep. After dozing off for some period of time, I am not sure how long, I jumped up in bed startled by a suffocating or drowning sensation of not being able to get any air into my lungs. I quickly ripped off the strap and soon recovered. A few nights later, not willing to admit I wasted my money, I was back at it again with a much looser setting and guess what?? It happened again. As my daughter would say....Duhhh!!!! Thinking back, these sort of episodes were happening before I added this handy dandy "Medical Adjustable CPAP Chin Strap" to the mix. The strap just adds the additional exciting element of panic when your mouth is strapped shut and your trying to suck up, what might be your last gasp, through two little nostril holes in the middle of the dark night. It kind of reminded me of a similiar sensation I experienced as a kid when I would wrestle that tiny staw in the middle of a big thick shake that always collapsed before I ever got any liquid out of it. Anyway, I gave this strap a 5 star rating because it highlighted for me a more serious problem that required immediate attention. The condition may have continued to remain untreated but for the motivation I received from the SP Medical Adjustable CPAP Chin Strap "choke hold" I experienced. PS: My wife says the strap did reduce the volume of the snoring but not the amount.
